Jim (12) and Sam (11) are best friends. They've known each other forever and spend their days pestering their neighbours, sailing their boat and catching frogs.
When summer is over Jim will leave the village to go to secondary school. Sam will stay behind.
As the story unfolds it becomes clear that this could be the last summer the two best friends will spend together.
